Application of Java-Technologies for Simulation in the Web

چکیده
In this article, the visual Internet-oriented Java-based E-net Simulation System (JESS) is considered. JESS supports all the simulation stages from constructing the models to experimenting with them. The basis of JESS is an object-oriented formal model and a specification language that supports several levels of model description with an E-net specification. The Internet-orientation of the system allows to create models executed on a remote server and makes these models available from any point of the network. This article contains descriptions of the JESS simulation technique and the implementation of its Internet properties.

Web Technologies for Collaborative Visualization and Simulation
Web technologies|in particular linked Java servers and clients|allow new dynamic collaborative environments linking people and computers (collaboratories). We describe the architecture of a system, TANGOsim, that combines a Java collaborative environment with an executive providing general message lters, and an event driven simulator. The initial application is to command and control, but we de...
متن کاملInfrastructure, Data Cleansing and Mining for Support of Scientific Simulations
by Yingping Huang We propose a multi-tier infrastructure which demostrates the successful integration of web servers, application servers, databases, data analysis and reports, data cleansing, data warehousing, data mining, and the Swarm/RePast simulation models. The goal of the system is to support scientific simulations in the fields of environmental and social science using advanced features...
متن کاملConfiguring Java-Based Web Application Development Environment for an Academic Setting
In this paper, we analyze the characteristics and constraints of a typical academic environment for web application development. A set of Java-based web technologies and tools are introduced and reviewed for such an environment. The motivation behind this work is to provide comprehensive resource for university faculty members and students about emerging technologies and available tools to faci...
متن کاملModeling Web Applications Using Java and XML Related Technologies
The purpose of this paper is to propose visual models for a web application using Java and XML related technologies. We consider a web application that uses 3tier architecture and each tier is distributed onto web, application, and data base servers. In the web applications, various Java and XML related technologies are employed in the form of different languages: clientside script language, se...
متن کاملJava/CORBA based Real-Time Infrastructure to Integrate Event-Driven Simulations, Collaboration and Distributed Object/Componentware Computing
We are discussing the four major standard candidates for distributed object/componentware computing: Java, CORBA, COM and WOM within our proposed coordination framework we call Pragmatic Object Web (POW). We describe our integration approach based on multi-protocol middleware server JWORB (Java Web Object Request Broker) that currently integrates HTTP and IIOP and which we now further develop t...
متن کاملJava and Web Technologies for Simulation and Modelling in Computational Science and Engineering
We discuss the role of Java and Web technologies for general simulation. We classify the classes of concurrency typical in problems and analyze separately the role of Java in user interfaces, coarse grain software integration, and detailed computational kernels. We conclude that Java could become a major language for computational science, as it potentially ooers good performance, excellent use...
